Book Review

Since reading this book, which was loaned to me by a friend, I have entertained a different outlook on the human side of Jesus.

The book contains an imaginative description of six of the closest family members to Jesus:  Joseph (stepdad), Zechariah (uncle), Elizabeth (aunt), John the Baptist (cousin), James (brother), and Mary (mother).

The reality that these people who we’ve read about in the Bible were real people like you and me begins to seep in as you read more and more.

And these people actually walked and talked with Jesus in the flesh. They laughed with him, ate with him, and interacted with him as members of his family.

An enjoyable read with both Biblical facts and fictional stories intertwined, it gives the reader an entirely different perspective on Jesus and his relationships with those closest to him.

Disclaimer

For those of you who love to read, I am sharing a quick review of some of the Christian-based books I have read and Bible studies I have participated in, both personally and in a group. These are my favorites.

I always appreciate others’ input and suggestions when trying to decide on my next reading project, so I hope this will be helpful when you are trying to decide on your next read and/or study.

These reviews are based on my opinion, and I was not compensated in any way for reading them or reviewing them.
